Both tools are deliberately simple. These are the limits worth knowing before you act on the numbers.
- The calculator gives an indicative monthly figure using list prices at the time of writing. Microsoft changes pricing and terms, so check current Microsoft pricing before you budget.
- It does not cover discounts from enterprise agreements, nonprofit or education pricing, Dataverse capacity add-ons or Power Pages licensing in detail.
- The quiz is a conversation starter, not an audit. A low score in one area is normal and usually quick to fix.

Questions about the tools
Are these Power Platform tools really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up and no paywall. If you want a copy of your licensing estimate by email you can leave your address, but the result is shown on screen either way.
Do you store what I type into the tools?
Your answers are worked out in your browser. We record anonymous usage statistics, such as a tool being completed, to see which tools are useful. Nothing identifies you unless you choose to send us your details.
How accurate is the licensing calculator?
It is a good guide to which licence model is cheapest for your user numbers, but not a quote. Real costs depend on your existing Microsoft 365 plans, agreements and Microsoft's current prices. Our Licensing Review, from £395, checks all of that for your tenant.
