Power Pages development, UKGive customers and suppliers a secure portal instead of another inbox.

Customer, supplier and applicant portals built on Power Pages and your own Dataverse data. A working first version in about two weeks, from £4,950, with a written fixed price before any work starts.

Sound familiar?

The signs you need a portal, not more email.

Power Pages makes sense when people outside your organisation need to give you information or check on something, and your staff already work in Microsoft 365.

Forms arrive by email and get re-keyed

Customers, applicants or suppliers send PDFs and spreadsheets. Someone in the office types them into your system, and errors creep in.

Status updates eat staff time

Half the phone calls and emails are people asking where their request has got to. The answer is in your system, but they cannot see it.

Documents shared through inboxes

Insurance certificates, contracts and evidence arrive as attachments, saved in personal folders, with no expiry tracking or audit trail.

An old portal nobody wants to touch

A portal built on an earlier platform, or an early Power Apps portal, still runs. It works, just about, and nobody is confident changing it.

What you get

A Power Pages consultant who builds the portal and the process behind it.

A portal is only useful if submissions land somewhere your staff can act on them. We build both sides on the same data.

Customer portals

Customers register, submit requests, upload documents and track progress. Staff work the same records in a model-driven app behind the portal.

Supplier portals

Supplier onboarding, certificate uploads with expiry reminders, purchase order acknowledgements and invoice queries in one place.

Applicant and member portals

Grant, membership or application forms with saved drafts, eligibility checks and a decision workflow your staff run in Power Apps.

Authentication set up properly

Sign-in through a supported identity provider such as Microsoft Entra External ID, local accounts or social sign-in where appropriate, configured for your users and policies.

Table permissions and web roles

External users see only their own records or their organisation's records. Permissions are designed and tested before go-live, not bolted on afterwards.

Flows behind the portal

Power Automate handles confirmations, approvals, reminders and document generation, so a portal submission starts a real process.

Comparison

Power Pages vs a traditional website or CMS.

They solve different problems. Many organisations keep their public website on a CMS and add a Power Pages portal for the secure, data-driven part.

Typical builds

Customer portals, supplier portals and migrations.

Typical timelines from kick-off to go-live. Your scope sets the real figure.

Typically 5 to 7 weeks

Supplier onboarding portal

Registration, due diligence questions, certificate uploads with expiry reminders and an internal approval step before a supplier is set up.

Typically 5 to 8 weeks

Customer service request portal

Customers raise and track requests, add photos and comments, and get notified as the case moves. Staff work cases in a model-driven app.

Typically 6 to 8 weeks

Grant or application portal

Multi-step application with saved drafts, eligibility rules and scoring by reviewers, with a decision letter generated on approval.

Typically 3 to 6 weeks

Portal migration and tidy-up

An older Power Apps portal reviewed, moved to current Power Pages features where it makes sense, and its permissions and flows cleaned up.

Example builds show the type of solution delivered and typical outcomes for that pattern. They are not presented as named client case studies.

Power Apps portals migration

If you still run a portal created before the Power Pages name, it will have carried on working, but it may use the original data model, older templates and permissions that grew over time. We start with a review: what the portal does, who uses it, which pages and forms are still needed, and which permissions are too broad. Then we migrate in stages, testing with real external users before each change goes live, so nobody gets locked out.

Pricing

A note on Power Pages licensing

Power Pages is licensed separately from Power Apps. At the time of writing (October 2026), Microsoft sells capacity for authenticated users and for anonymous users per website per month, and also offers pay-as-you-go billing through an Azure subscription. Your staff using the back-office app need their own Power Apps entitlement. Microsoft changes prices and terms regularly, so check current Microsoft pricing before you budget. We do not resell licences or take a margin on them.

Honest fit check

When Power Pages is the right answer, and when it is not.

We would rather tell you now than build the wrong thing.

A good fit when

  • External users are a defined group: customers, suppliers, applicants or members
  • Your staff already work in Microsoft 365, or will use Dataverse for the process
  • Users need to submit forms, upload documents or check the status of a request
  • Record-level security matters, so each user sees only their own data

Probably not the right tool when

  • You mainly need a brand-led public marketing website
  • Very high traffic consumer products where design and speed are the product
  • Your user volumes make Power Pages capacity costlier than a custom portal over three years
  • A specialist SaaS product already covers the process well at a fair price

FAQ

Power Pages questions

How much does Power Pages development cost in the UK?

A focused first portal can start with our 2-Week Proof of Value from £4,950, which gets a working portal on your data. Most production portals with sign-in, several forms and a back-office app are quoted individually after scoping. You get a written fixed price before work starts. Microsoft licensing is a separate cost.

How long does a Power Pages portal take to build?

A working first version usually takes about two weeks. A production portal with authentication, table permissions, three to five forms and a staff app typically takes five to eight weeks, including testing with real external users. You see progress in your own tenant every week.

How secure is Power Pages for external users?

It can be very secure when configured well. Access is controlled by web roles and table permissions down to individual records, and sign-in goes through a supported identity provider. Most portal problems come from permissions set too broadly, so we design and test them before launch and document every rule.

How is Power Pages priced?

Microsoft licenses Power Pages by capacity for authenticated users and anonymous users per site per month, with pay-as-you-go also available through Azure. Prices and terms change, so check current Microsoft pricing. We estimate your user numbers and the likely licence cost in the written scope.

What happened to Power Apps portals?

Microsoft renamed Power Apps portals to Power Pages in 2022 and existing portals carried on under the new name. Older portals may still use the original data model and older patterns. We review them, explain what is worth modernising and migrate in stages so your users are not disrupted.

Can external users sign in with Microsoft Entra External ID?

Power Pages supports Microsoft Entra External ID as an identity provider, alongside other options such as local sign-in and social providers. Microsoft has been moving customers from Azure AD B2C towards External ID, so we check Microsoft's current guidance and recommend the option that suits your users and policies.
