FAQ

Working with us

Who will actually build my solution?

The same PL-200 certified consultant you speak to on the first call. There are no account managers or junior hand-offs. If a project ever needs a second pair of hands, you will be told who and why before it starts.

You are not a Microsoft Solutions Partner. Does that matter?

Microsoft partner designations are awarded to companies based on measures such as certified staff, customer success and licensing activity. They are a company-level designation rather than a measure of the individual who builds your app. Large partners are often the right choice for multi-country programmes or round-the-clock support. For a focused app, automation or review, you may prefer working directly with the certified specialist doing the work. You buy licences from Microsoft or your existing reseller, and you pay us only for the work.

How much does a typical project cost?

Fixed-scope entry packages start from £395. A two-week Proof of Value starts from £4,950, and replacing a business-critical spreadsheet with an app typically starts from £6,500. Every project gets a written fixed price after a free scoping call, so there are no open-ended day-rate surprises.

How quickly can you start and deliver?

Most projects can start within two weeks of agreeing scope. A focused app or automation usually reaches a working first version in one to two weeks, with weekly demos throughout so you see progress early.

What licences will we need?

Many solutions run on the Power Apps and Power Automate rights already included in Microsoft 365. Premium connectors, Dataverse and Copilot Studio need extra licences. We tell you the licensing cost before you commit, and the Licensing Review covers this in detail if you want it in writing.

Who owns the solution when it is finished?

You do. Everything is built in your own Microsoft tenant, delivered as a managed solution with documentation, and there is no lock-in. You can support it yourselves, use another provider or take a Care Plan.

What happens after go-live?

Every build includes a 30-day warranty for defects. After that you can take a monthly Care Plan with rollover hours, or call on us for ad hoc changes.

When is Power Platform the wrong choice?

When you need very high transaction volumes, complex public-facing products, heavy offline use across thousands of devices, or licensing would cost more than a custom build over three years. If that is the case we will say so on the first call and suggest a better route.

FAQ

Licensing

Is Power Apps included in Microsoft 365?

Microsoft 365 business and enterprise plans include rights to use Power Apps and Power Automate with standard connectors such as SharePoint, Outlook and Teams. Premium connectors, Dataverse, custom connectors and on-premises data need a standalone Power Apps or Power Automate licence.

What is a premium connector?

A connector Microsoft classes as premium, such as SQL Server, Dataverse, HTTP and many third-party SaaS systems. Using one in an app or flow means every user of that app needs a premium licence, so it is worth checking before you build.

Per-app, per-user or pay-as-you-go: which is cheapest?

It depends on how many apps each person uses and how often. A few users on many apps suits per-user. Many users on one or two apps suits per-app. Occasional use across a large population can suit pay-as-you-go billed through Azure. The free licensing calculator gives an estimate for your numbers.

Does Copilot Studio need its own licence?

Yes. Copilot Studio is licensed by message capacity, either as a tenant capacity pack or pay-as-you-go through Azure. Microsoft 365 Copilot users get some agent usage included in Microsoft 365 experiences. Check current Microsoft pricing before committing, as it changes often.

FAQ

Governance

Should we let staff build their own apps?

Yes, with guardrails. A sensible environment strategy, data loss prevention policies and the CoE Starter Kit let makers build safely while IT keeps visibility. Banning it usually drives the work into unmanaged spreadsheets instead.

What happens to flows when the person who built them leaves?

Flows owned by a leaver can stop working when their account is disabled. Moving important flows into solutions owned by service accounts or teams, and monitoring for ownerless resources, prevents this. The Health Check finds them for you.
