UK Retailer Launches Supplier Portal on Power Pages with Embedded Power BI Analytics

The retailer's buying and supply chain team was managing 340 active suppliers via email, quarterly Excel performance packs, and a £85,000/year supplier portal SaaS tool that 60% of suppliers found too complex to use. The team spent 3 days per quarter producing and distributing performance data, supplier queries consumed 2 FTE of account management time, and compliance certificate chasing was entirely manual.

We built a Power Pages supplier portal where each supplier authenticates via Entra External ID and accesses their own performance data, order pipeline, compliance status, and payment information. Power BI reports are embedded with row-level security so each supplier sees only their data, covering sales performance, return rates, quality scores, and delivery metrics. Power Automate handles compliance certificate reminders, performance alert notifications, and new line submission workflows. The buying team's internal Power Apps interface manages portal content and supplier onboarding.
